Governance

Governance is an optional data-control capability, not a standalone compliance platform. Users define intent:

Is the data sensitive?
How should it be protected?
May it be delivered?
What happens when a rule is violated?

The runtime applies Protection, Classification, Policy, Quarantine, and Replay behavior without requiring operators to think in terms of internal engine names.

Current operational surfaces

The current Web UI includes governance Dashboard, Operations, Violations, Quarantine, Audit, Approvals, Replay, Notifications, and Governance Workspace routes.

Route-aware behavior

A shared/default intent can belong to the Stream configuration while effective destination-specific behavior is Route-aware.

Important limits

Governance Workspace is a read-only MVP for some workflows.
The Workspace fan-out pattern scales as multiple API calls per Route and is not the preferred daily fleet dashboard at high route counts.
SMTP notification delivery is disabled until SMTP is configured.
